I Ashton Deroy am passionate about this campaign? Cause it is time for Quinte West to get a younger Mayor for administrator. If not now when? I am a Millenial who has yet to experience the full earning power of a full-time job paycheque. Cause my parents’ generation handed us an economy beaten by the 2008 recession.

My Community’s opinion on the curent Quinte West Mayor? He’s my grandma’s Mayor but Grandma doesn’t contribute to Income Tax. My generation does. This is the Old person’s Mayor. Add to that? He doesn’t know the appropriate way to publicly behave on Transgender issues. This should be a local debacle in Quinte West. Though to circle back to the point I just made. He is not my generation’s mayor. He is the mayor of old people. Like as much as I can take a bite at his feckless views on Transgender people?
When does my generation get to put in our guy? A guy with a plan to revitalize and make Quinte West an exciting place of opportunity and care. We saw the election of Zohran Mamdani in New York USA. We know that? It is possible to elect compassionate & caring leaders and that is what it is time for.
I usally have a hard time endorsing a Mayoral Candiate. With my Domain name purchased? I am endorsing Zack Card for the Quinte West election. I will circulate this to readers in Quinte West. It is time for a change for once. Cause Grandma’s Mayor and Grandma herself. They are on the way out…. We can’t keep just governing for their stupidity.
