Yep I am like my family more than I thought. I just endorsed an Independent. I am in roughly the same mindset I was in when I voted Annamie Paul by voting for Erica. A Local Green party Candidate I met in person. I am a Socialist who finds themselves constantly collaborating with Bipartisan minds or Bipartisan ways. Can’t explain why…. To explain my stance even when not voting for the Socialist Candidate. I am ideologically a Socialist but sometimes a vote is pragmatic.
Let it be known I never fought the Annamie Paul Camp for an Israel Commentary. Like with this vote. I made commentary to Israel Independently but also said very clearly. I Share gay & Secular culture with Jewish people. I am not using the Palestinian genocide as an excuse to pick up an anti-Semitic streak. Let it be known I am reading multiple policies from multiple leadership candidates, in multiple parties to shop for the best offers or arguments as someone who argues Politics online. If someone is pitching sensible policies? They don’t happen to slap the Socialist Label on it. That’s not going to stop my vote. Nor is if she is black & Jewish. Or honestly I might of backed Paul as a Conservation Conservative just for something different but he is an Independent. That also works…
A Crazy person in Canadian and American Political tradition? Should actually campaign with the Independents Once or twice. Just like they should campaign with the Greens. I am ok with Paul as an Independent. It’s a Mentally Ill Political Tradition to call yourself an Independent and then proceed to have a creative mental breakdown. It also can just mean someone is smart enough to think for themselves. Both are true for me. I am smart enough to think for myself. I am also mentally ill.
Making sense of where I am now? What I believe in? Where I was previously? To not be a Socialist. Would be to say Learning Disabled Kids who became dysfunctional adults inevitably. They don’t deserve a nice warm meal? They don’t deserve healthcare? As that ex special Ed Kid from Prince of Wales. I can’t bring myself to allow for that argument. I have to reject any candidate that wouldn’t feed the hungry or house the poor.
